About Me

I worked as a graphic artist for approximately 10 years. I take an artistic approach by transferring visual forms from traditional media such as tifa, statues, carvings, etc. to digital media. Some forms are adapted from traditional forms of tribes in Papua, and others are explored from regional motifs of the Biak tribe. I use digital painting and moving image media to articulate or redefine the meaning of traditional symbols in new living spaces in the urban world.
